Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son (also known as Big Momma's House 3) is an upcoming 2011 crime comedy film directed by John Whitesell and written by Matthew Fogel and Don Rhymer. The film is both a reboot as Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son well as the second sequel to Big Momma's House (2000) and starring Martin Lawrence reprising his role as FBI agent Malcolm Turner. FBI Agent Malcolm Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son Turner and his 17-year-old stepson Trent go undercover at an all-girls' school for the arts, after Trent witnesses a murder. They pose, respectively, as Big Momma and Charmaine, in order to find evidence incriminating the murderer before he finds them. The film is Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son intended to rebrand the franchise with a new Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son lead character as well as appealing to an teenage audience as opposed to the first film's more mature target audience, although the previous film Big Momma's House 2 was more family-oriented.
